We give you this unique opportunity to experience riding abroad with new people and having the time of your life, learning new skills, group riding and making new friends. A holiday that makes a difference! RMT Motorcycle Training is offering a five day holiday and Rider Development tour to Normandy. Throughout the trip, we will cover many aspects of Advanced Riding techniques, where we will guide you through a number of essential skills and tips to enhance your riding. It doesn‟t matter what type of bike you are riding or your skill level; this trip is designed for anybody who wants to venture abroad with advanced instructors on hand to give you help and advice. The ProgrammeDay One (200 miles)Meet at RMT Motorcycle Training in Redditch and depart together after an initial briefing and communications check, training on group riding will be given enroute to the port. During the ferry crossing, we will discuss your riding needs and put a programme together for the remainder of the tour. You will also get chance to meet and socialise with the other riders on the trip. Day Two (120 miles)The ferry drops us off in Caen. After disembarking, we will stop for breakfast before making out way to the Chateau to check in. The whole afternoon will be dedicated to riding through Normandy. We will return to the Chateau in the evening for dinner and local French wine. Day Three (160 miles)Today, you will go on the first of two longer rides, taking in the coast road and then back inland. During the day you will be taught group riding, cornering and overtaking techniques, stopping for lunch along the way. On returning to the Chateau, you will be given a full debrief on your riding and tips for improvement. Dinner will be hosted at the Chateau, where you can relax for the rest of the evening. Day Four (160 miles)The second of your longer rides is on this day to ensure all the important areas of riding development have been covered. Riding techniques will be the main emphasis during the day where we will help you break down each section of your riding, in particular planning the approach to corners into stages and more importantly the execution of counter steering. As per previous nights, the day will end at the Chateau with a full debrief on the days ride and the final dinner. Day Five (250 miles)After breakfast, we spend the morning riding along the Normandy beaches before heading to one of the coastal venues for lunch. If you prefer to have the day free for sightseeing, then this option is available to you. We will all re-group at the ferry port in Caen departing late afternoon for the trip back to UK. From here, you can choose to stay overnight in Portsmouth or ride back home the same night. On the ferry, you will receive a final appraisal and debrief. You will be issued with an ERS certificate which could lower the cost of your insurance. We will also prepare a full rider development report which will be sent to you after the trip. You may also be in a position to take an advanced riding test should you want additional riding qualifications. |
