If you want to pass you motorcycle tests and ride without L Plates on either a 125cc motorcycle or a larger machine doing the Direct Access Scheme (DAS), you will need to take both the Module One and Module Twomotorcycle tests.
Module OneThe Module One Test is conducted at the Multi-Purpose Test Centre (MPTC) in Garretts Green, close to our training facility in Birmingham. It is an off-road test whereby you have to successfully complete a series of manoeuvres. Unlike many other motorcycle training schools, we have made special arrangements with the DSA by booking training sessions at the weekend to use the actual test site for our students to practise Module One manoeuvres. This means that our students are comfortable with the layout of the course and are fully prepared before they take their Module One test. The motorcycle test takes approximately 20 minutes and consists of the following manoeuvres:

Module TwoThe Module Two test is conducted on the road. It takes the form of a pursuit test with a DSA examiner following, watching and assessing your riding ability. It also includes an independent ride where you will ride the motorcycle without directional instruction for a short period of time. With many years of experience, the RMT Motorcycle Training instructors are aware of the diverse road layouts commonly used on test routes that are taken from the Redditch or the Garretts Green test centre in Birmingham. This means we can fully train our students on the roads that are typically used under test conditions. The Module Two test lasts for approximately 45 minutes. It commences with an eyesight check followed by questions about carrying a pillion passenger and maintenance of your motorcycle. On your road test, the examiner will be assessing your riding on areas such as:
We use Redditch and Birmingham as our preferred motorcycle test centres for Module Two tests, but if required, we can accommodate you by taking you to a different test centre location. When you choose to do your on-road motorcycle training with us you can join our exclusive RMT Riders Club. This will give you access to our members only forum where you can get detailed information on passing your motorcycle tests, including video footage of how to pass the Module One test. Also available is information and tips on how to pass the Module Two test and riding techniques for Post Test Training and group riding. |
