Ask Our Advocates

Let us introduce you to our advocates. They have undergone different levels of motorcycle training with us. We recognise that some individuals seeking motorcycle instruction would prefer to speak to someone who has ‘gone through’ the experience and can offer an unbiased point of view. The people you see on this page have volunteered to speak to you and are not employed by RMT Motorcycle Training.

Learning to ride a bike for me was about overcoming a phobia, achieving an ambition and proving someone wrong. I never thought I could do it and I know if it wasn’t for Si and RMT, I believe that to be true. He never gave up on me, even when I had given up on myself. Si is a perfectionist so his training involves precise instruction which very much appeals to me, as it ultimately makes you a better rider. He had so much patience even when I shouted back at him or was crying tears of frustration. Passing my motorcycle test was a turning point in my life and I have so much respect and gratitude for Si and the RMT team in helping me get there.

Since I started training with RMT Motorcycle Training and became a member of the RMT Riders Club, my skills and confidence have improved more than I could have imagined. I can’t thank the team at RMT enough for all the hard work and dedication they put in to making training with them a great experience. They truly look at your skills and abilities as an individual, and ensure that they work with you on improving your riding at the right level for you. I have always thoroughly enjoyed all my training days and always come away feeling a better and safer rider. From basic to advanced training, to track days, club rides and trips – I hope to continue improving my riding with RMT for years to come. Thank you to Si and the team at RMT Motorcycle Training – you all do an amazing job!

I passed my Direct Access in June 2010 with the help of the guys at RMT
Motorcycle Training. I found the training very personable and comprehensive-
my instructor really put himself out to make me feel comfortable on the bike and
ready for test. The level of instruction was faultless yet seamless and I thoroughly
enjoyed myself despite my initial concerns about riding a bigger bike (being a rather
petite 5’1”). I found the use of the multi-purpose test centre extremely useful – I’m
not sure I would have passed it first time round otherwise. All in all, I felt thoroughly
prepared for both parts of my test and I’d happily recommend anyone to train with
RMT Motorcycle Training.

At the age of 40 (mid life crisis) I decided to go for it and enrolled in a one hour free
trial with RMT. I passed my CBT in June and opted to do DAS training. The expert tuition from RMT gave me bags of confidence and in July I passed my Module One test and in August I passed my Module Two test, both first time with no minor faults.

I joined the RMT Riders Club and play an active role in supporting club rides by marshalling. I continued training and have gained my ERS certificate in April 2011 and I have just returned from a fantastic advanced training weekend in France with the RMT team and riders club members.

The training, advice, help & support received is second to none and you’re always guaranteed a friendly welcome by all at RMT. Thanks to all at RMT for a fantastic learning experience.

My son and I started our training with RMT Motorcycle Training in April 2010. Starting with CBT, Module One and then both passing Module Two on the same day in Sep 2010, the training throughout was very professional and informative at all times. No short cuts, just progressive positive training.

After passing our tests we then joined the RMT Riders Club and started our ERS training which again was very professional, hard work but very rewarding. Motorcycling is not just about passing your test; it is about ongoing training, riding with experienced people, so we can all enjoy it in a safe and positive manner. I would recommend RMT Motorcycle Training to anyone who wants to take up motorcycling or existing riders who want (need) to improve their riding skills.

I was initially introduced to RMT through a work colleague. At that point, although I’d been considering getting a bike for fifteen years or more, I was still cautious and uncertain as to whether or not it was for me. I approached the CBT a little anxiously, but was immediately reassured by the professionalism of the training team, their refreshing sense of humour and the relaxed atmosphere they created.

As I progressed through the Direct Access Scheme (DAS), RMT Motorcycle Training instilled a high degree of confidence and genuine road craft in me with the emphasis always on riding safely at all times. In fact, the mantra of RMT Motorcycle Training is to teach well beyond test standard! I passed my tests first time with flying colours and have quickly progressed through the Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) with RMT.

I now consider the RMT team to be friends and have enjoyed many of the events arranged by the RMT Riders Club (an exclusive club open to those who train with RMT). It goes without saying that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending RMT to anyone seeking first class motorcycle training by the best team in the business and an after sales experience that fulfils the need for adventure in us all!
