The Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) is aimed at anyone wanting to gain a certificate to lower insurance premiums, upgrade to a larger motorcycle or just wish to develop their riding skills. Some people are keen to tackle their bad habits and others want advice on a particular area of weakness or want to have more fun and take their riding skills to a higher level.

ERS was introduced by the Driving Standards Agency (DAS) as part of their Motorcycle Road Safety Strategy. RMT Motorcycle Training is one of only a few motorcycle training schools in the area qualified to offer this scheme. We will deliver a personalised training programme tailored to your individual requirements.

 ERS can be completed in one to three days depending on your level of competence. We will assess your riding ability and advise you on how many days we feel you will need. We follow a syllabus set by the DSA which covers both practical and theory sessions, helping you get the most out of your riding and making it more enjoyable, remember it is not a test. Once you have met the standard for each area, you will receive a course completion certificate. This certificate is recognised by most insurance companies possibly entitling you to an insurance discount of up to 20% off.

We appreciate that taking time out to train is not always easy, so RMT Motorcycle Training will work with you to produce a fully tailored programme to suit your needs. Alternatively, you may want to learn as part of a group and turn the experience into a motorcycle training tour or holiday.
Your trainer will be highly skilled and want to share their expertise with you so you can get the best out of your riding. They have proved they have the skills to give you quality training and are checked regularly to make sure they keep up to a high standard and continue to deliver quality guidance to you.
